Deal or Dud is our quick verdict on a specific sale: is this price actually worth it?
How Deal or Dud works
- Deal: the price is genuinely good, and the product is one the evidence says is worth owning.
- Dud: skip it, even on sale. Either the “discount” isn’t real or the product has a documented problem, and we link the evidence.
- Prices come from a live source on the day we check, and every verdict shows the date. We never hard-code prices.
Coming for Black Friday 2026
Our first Deal or Dud verdicts will cover the picks in our current guides. Until then, start with the evidence:

Dud Watch is where we’ll track the products in our guides for price changes, new owner complaints and recalls. It’s being built now. What our badges and series mean.
